Galena Forest Estates is convenient to the Reno area and has two entrances/exits from Mt. Rose Highway. Summit Mall is about five minutes away and features high-end retail, including Dillards, several restaurants and a movie theater. The farmers market runs in the parking at Summit Mall twice a week during the summer. Lake Tahoe is only a 30 minute drive up Mt. Rose Highway and skiing in the winter is only about a 15 minute drive to Slide Mountain and Mt. Rose Ski Resort.
