If your job is not considered an essential service, then you're likely spending much more time at home than ever. If you're tired of Netflix and are running out of things to do, consider some DIY projects. Whether you're planning to sell your home or just want to upgrade your look while you have the time, these easy DIY projects will help you pass the time and improve the look look of your home.

Change Doorknobs. Changing out the doorknobs throughout your home is a simple project and doesn't take much skill, but the job is made easier with a drill. Choose a finish and style that compliments the other hardware throughout your home.

Organize the Pantry and Fridge. Does anyone actually enjoy cleaning and the organizing the pantry? If you have the time now, it's a good idea to get this bigger organizational project out of the way. In both the pantry and the refrigerator, throw out expired food, wipe down the shelves, and organize by product type and/or frequency of use.

Clean the Patio. Sweep away any leaves or debris then rinse the area down with a hose. Spray down any patio furniture that's dusty and rinse water repellent furniture cushions and pillows.

Organize the Laundry Room. Give your washer and dryer a good deep cleaning (check for instructions base on your models), wipe down the outside of the machines. Need more storage? Consider adding wall shelving to store cleaning products, detergent, etc.

Paint. It's the perfect time to touch up scuffs on your walls. Make sure the area is clean and then open the windows to let fresh air in. If you're planning to sell your home and are repainting walls, neutral colors typically show best. Don't forget to paint the trim and baseboards.

Update Your Front Door. Your front door is part of your home's curb appeal. After winter weather, your front door could probably use a deep cleaning. You can also paint your door, install a new handle, or just add a wreath for some color.

If you're planning to sell your home, we'd be happy to create a custom home valuation for you so you'll know what your home could sell for in today's market.
