Let’s take a look at the 6 month trends for Median Price and Days on Market trends in the greater Reno-Sparks area for single family home sales.

“Median” means “in the middle”, so half of homes sold for more and half sold for less. According to the Reno-Sparks Association of REALTORS, the regional median price was nearly unchanged, going from $400,000 in November to $393,500 in December. The median price has been hovering at this level for several months. The relatively low supply and strong demand for housing in our region are expected to keep median price on the rise in the long term.

If you are planning to replace your kitchen countertops, whether because you're planning to sell or you're just updating, choosing an eco-friendly option might be the way to go. Because eco-friendly countertop options have been increasing in popularity, you now have more options than ever.

Reclaimed Wood- Reclaimed wood is very popular in Northern Nevada. Salvaged wood is even more eco-friendly than recycled materials because the material never becomes waste. Wood does need to be resealed occasionally and shouldn't be used directly next to the sink, so another material will need to be incorporated.

Fibrous Cement- Made with recycled paper, glass and concrete, fibrous cement counters are all unique. Custom made for your kitchen, these counters are…

3. Add a Back Splash- There are so many back splash…

The powder room, or half bath, can be a great place to take chances with decor and design. Because of the small space, you can be creative without committing to a design or color that might overpower a bigger room. These

Save Space- If your powder room is really tiny, consider saving space where it makes sense for your room. A pedestal sink is smaller than a vanity and a corner sink can take up even less space.

Wallpaper- Wallpaper has come a long way in recent years. Opt for a bold pattern or color you love and make sure it's water resistant if you're putting it near…
