Reno-Sparks Market Report-- October 29, 2018

Let’s take a look at Median Price and Days on Market trends over the past 6 months in the greater Reno-Sparks area for single family home sales.

“Median” means “in the middle”, with half of homes selling for more and half selling for less. According to the Reno-Sparks Association of REALTORS, the median price increased slightly to $374,000 from August to September. A better indicator of market health is to look at the annual trend, which is up by over 11% since September of last year. This year-over-year change highlights the continued demand for housing in the region.

The Average Days on Market increased slightly in September to 77 days. This is the second increase in Days on Market in a row after not having one since April. An increase is…

On October 31, 1864, the state of Nevada joined the Union as the 36th state. Not only does Nevada Day celebrate the state's 154th birthday, but residents and visitors celebrate all things Nevada. Today, Nevada Day is celebrated on the final Friday in November.

Nevada was named after the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range.
Nevada was the second state added to the Union during the Civil War which is why it is known as the Battle Born State. (West Virginia became a state on June 20, 1863.)

Reno Zombie Crawl- From 8:00 pm - 4:00 am on October 20 at more than 15 bars in Downtown Reno. $10 pays for your admission, crawl cup and a map. The Reno Zombie Crawl is one of the biggest bar crawls in the country and costumes are highly encouraged.
