Independence Day Events 2016

Will you be celebrating the 4th of July in Reno-Sparks this year? Whether you decide to attend a bbq, float the river, or spend some time at the lake, make sure you catch one of the impressive fireworks show. 

Star Spangled Sparks- July 3. 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Craft vendors, a bike parade, live entertainment and fireworks. The fireworks are set off from The Nugget Casino around 9:45 p.m. 

Fourth of July on the Comstock- Head up to Virginia City for one of the longest fireworks show in the area. For 30 minutes fireworks will light up the sky so find a spot at Miner's Park or C Street. Visitors can also check out concerts and a raffle. 

July 3rd Fireworks and Beach Party- Enjoy Lake Tahoe from 4-10 p.m. on July 3rd at the North Tahoe Events Center at Kings Beach State Recreation Area. In addition to fireworks, enjoy food vendors, a drink garden, watermelon eating and sandcastle building contests, music and more. 

Baseball and Fireworks- The Reno Aces are playing the Tacoma Rainiers at 6:35 p.m. Gates open at 5:05. Fireworks are to immediately follow the game. 

Artown- Celebrate America- At 5:00 p.m. for art projects and activities at Wingfield Park. Then at 7:30, enjoy a concert by Reno Philharmonic and fireworks at dusk. 

Truckee-Tahoe Events. If you're heading to Lake Tahoe or Truckee this year, there are plenty of events to attend from a fun run, parades to an ice cream social.
