As you can see in the picture the Reno Aces opened their season at the newly constructed ball field located downtown on the river.  This is another major step in the transformation of the downtown corridor.  The owners of the Aces have stated that they intend to build an entertainment district that will consist of approx. 3-4 restaurants, 1-2 nightclubs as well as other retail opportunities.  

    We had the pleasure of going to a game last week.  The stadium was beautiful and the quality of AAA baseball was fantastic.  The style of the ballpark allows for you to be able to walk completely around the park.  The park has views of the Truckee river, a kids zone, center field grass area, and picnic bench general admission seats.  Being outside and enjoying baseball was a a ton of fun.  It is obvious over time what a tremendous impact this will have downtown.
